In 17 December 2023, took place the defense of an international Doctoral Thesis for ViSens group in Collaborative Robots  research line in collaboration of IKERLAN. The PhD student Diego Rodriguez Guerra defended his thesis entitled ´Dual Artificial Potential Field (d-APF) Based Control for Safe and Efficient Robotic Operation on Industrial Collaborative Scenarios' which has been co-supervised by Dr. Itziar Cabanes (UPV/EHU) and Dr. Gorka Sorrosal (IKERLAN) in Bilbao School of Engineering. His excellent work was hold with 3 publications ranked Q1-Q2 JCR and 3 papers in International Conferences. 

Thesis Committee was formed by Dr. Carlos Balaguer (University of Carlos III Madrid), Dr. Ambra Vandome (University of SUPSI) and Dr. Asier Zubizarreta (Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, University of the Basque Country).
