Jon Flores has defended on 10th of July his PhD thesis entitled “Multisensor Digitalization and Intelligent Modeling of the DED-LB/M Wire Process for Monitoring and Predicting Internal Quality - Digitalización multisensor y modelizacion inteligente del proceso DED-LB/M wire para la monitorizacion y predicción de la calidad interna" at the Bilbao School of Engineering, University of the Basque Country (EHU).
The doctoral research, which received the Industrial Doctorate Mention, was co-supervised by Dr. Itziar Cabanes and Dr. Oscar Gonzalo de Francisco.
The thesis presents a novel framework that enables a comprehensive intelligent digitalization for the characterization, monitoring, and prediction of the DED-LB/M wire process, aimed at improving process stability and the quality of manufactured components.
The thesis was evaluated by a distinguished examination committee composed of Dr. Armando Yañez (University of Coruña), Dr. Carlos Soriano (Tekniker), and Dr. Aitziber Mancisidor (Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, University of the Basque Country.
The ViSens Research Group warmly congratulates Dr. Jon Flores on this remarkable achievement and wishes her every success in his professional and research career.
