On 15–16 July 2026, the ViSens Research Group hosted the latest follow-up meeting of the AGROBOTICS-DITWINS project at the Bilbao School of Engineering (University of the Basque Country, EHU). The meeting brought together representatives from the project consortium to review the progress achieved so far and coordinate the next phases of this European initiative.

Over the course of two days, partners discussed the current status of the project, with a particular focus on the implementation of the Living Labs, the methodology for recruiting companies and defining pilot use cases, and the project's communication strategy. Working sessions were also devoted to upcoming project deliverables and the planning of the pilot programme, ensuring a common roadmap for the next stages of AGROBOTICS-DITWINS.

As part of the meeting, participants visited the EHU Living Lab, where ongoing developments in agricultural robotics and digital twins were presented. This visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on how advanced robotics, artificial intelligence and digitalisation can contribute to addressing current challenges in agriculture and support the transition towards more sustainable and efficient farming systems.

The meeting reinforced the collaboration between project partners and represented another important milestone towards the deployment of the AGROBOTICS-DITWINS pilot activities. Through the Interreg Sudoe Programme, the project aims to accelerate the adoption of robotics, digital twins and artificial intelligence in agriculture, fostering innovation and technology transfer across the SUDOE region.
