The month of May starts with a defense of an international Doctoral Thesis for ViSens group in Bioengineering Applications research line. In May 2 2024, the PhD student Patrick Vermander Garcia defended his thesis entitled ´Intelligent Sitting Postural Diagnosis System for People with Low Mobility' which has been co-supervised by Dr. Aitziber Mancisidor and Dr. Itziar Cabanes in Bilbao School of Engineering. His excellent work was hold with 3 publications ranked Q1-JCR, 4 papers in Conferences, 2 book chapters and one european patent application. 

Thesis Committee was formed by Dr. Eduardo Zalama (University of Valladolid), Dr. Raffaele Gravina (University of Calabria, Italia) and Dr. Eva Portillo (Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, University of the Basque Country).
